Her STORY
Qaia Naim binti Hullon-West was born on September 27th, 2015, which fell on the day of a blood red supermoon—red from Rayleigh scattering. From the start, she was full of surprises, from arriving on the exact expected due date to the sharp awareness she displayed at only a few weeks old. She has always been very strong and had excellent motor skills even at birth. Her innate passion, drive, and dedication to always be on the move has led her to roll over at 14 weeks, sit up at 16 weeks, walk at 8 months, and jumping/running at 9 months. She did her first pull up at 13 months. For the last few months she has regularly been doing some sort of yoga or martial arts poses, whether during play or watching TV. She loves to stretch, jump, and kick. Very mature for her age, she also enjoys her studies. She has always loved number games from when she was only a few months old, and began to read her books daily at nine months of age. Though not fully in English quite yet, she loves to read the stories passionately aloud in her own language. She also studies Mandarin, Spanish and Arabic languages regularly due to coming from a multi-cultural family. Currently she is bilingual in both English and Malay. Her passion for books has grown tremendously—her first word every single morning is “book,” even before her morning milk. Her first phrase was “I Love You,” and her favorite words are “Thank You” and “Yaaaaay!” She has always been a sweet, smiling ball of energy. Her loud, infectious personality and attitude are comical. It’s hard to imagine how so much fierceness can fit in such a small package.
